FW: Vote-Trakker info

While y’all are beating the street and finding the flaws, we must consider that the commissioners will likely make their purchasing decisions quite soon.

Since I am representative of the commissioner’s advisory committee I have been doing my homework. Avante is at the top of my list, while Hart is a far second. Hart is actually nearing the edge of the abyss on my list.

The paper that is used for the Voter Verifiable Ballot has been a concern to me, as you all well know. So I have been inquiring. Avante is the only one of the four finalists that bothered to entertain my inquiries about anything with prompt courteous service. Everyone else has been preaching to me about why X is not needed, because it is not a part of HAVA.

Read down.

(sorry about the PDF attachment, some people don’t believe in plain text like we do.)

Paul,

It was a pleasure to talk to you about Vote-Trakker.  Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.  (609) 799-9388 x113

To answer your question about paper thickness.  The current paper stock we purchase is 0.004" thick.  I checked a roll of paper that had about 1 inch radius left.  I cut an 8 - inch piece and laid it down.  The curl was approximately 1/2 inch up on each end.  The portion of the paper that laid flat was the middle 6 inches.

Enclosed is a letter from one of the four towns in Connecticut that used the Vote-Trakker last week.  (Sorry for the size - it is a scanned letter)

Thanks for the endorsement,
