Bob,
We are very pleased indeed to learn that CFVI supports the Trustworthy
Elections Resolution.
This action on the part of the board signals that CFVI truly understands the
need for verified votes and verified counts. It is vital that the losers of
an election be confident that their loss resulted from voter choice and not
from election system malfunction or manipulation. The people will not
tolerate further loss of confidence caused by uncertain election outcomes.
We look forward to working together for Trustworthy Elections.

Al,
Thank you for taking the intiative to craft this statement and circulate it
for consideration by the voters. Our Board has voted to support this
resolution.
We will be happy to circulate this resolution to our members. I believe it
accurately captures our concerns and will also add it to our planned
training this Saturday as part of our discussions on action items in
preparation for the April 13th caucuses. I have already passed your
earlier caucus suggestions to several political campaigns, asking their
supporters to take that language with them to their caucuses.
Beyond these Colorado Caucuses, our Board hopes to release a position
statement regarding HR 2239 and our desire to see it strengthened by
addressing the concerns you enumerate below. We are in the process of
approaching other state voting integrity groups to request joint support of
this position paper. We are also in the process of identifying a U.S.
legislator to sponsor a friendly amendment to this bill to add strengthening
language once it is on the House floor. It is our hope that we may refer
people to this Amendment in our Position Paper.
We continue to seek assistance in these efforts and hope concerned citizens
will join with us in these efforts.
