Re: openvotingconsortium



This is an open source program that can be modified to work any way
you want.  I've raised some of these questions with Doug Jones, the
highly credible, well-known champion of verifiable voting who is on
the board of directors.  He responded, in part:

If you don't like the bar code, e.g. because you have fully-disclosed
software to do a good job of scanning, then modifying the software to
not print in on the ballots would be trivial, as would printing a full
ballot.  The hard work is the human interface, human factors, testing,
promoting the general concept, etc.

So I strongly support the effort, which I've noted before on this list.
