Outrageously short notice: RE: U.S. Election Assitance Commission asking for Comments

If this is the way EAC is going to run things, I'd say they're getting off
the wrong foot.

Subject: U.S. Election Assitance Commission asking for Comments

I have been gone for several days and found this message when I got
back. I received it Thursday, April 8. The message itself was sent out
at 4:23 PM on April 7. So the American people, especially those greatly
concerned with the issue of electronic voting, were given two days in
which to offer our thoughts, comments, and recommendations to the new
Election Assistance Commission.

Dear Ms. ************,

Thank you for your request. We just completed our big move so were
doing a bit of catch up work with all the mix. The Commission has asked
that recommendations for the May 5 public hearing on electronic voting
be submitted in writing, via email or fax, no later than close of
business Friday, April 9. You can be assured that your suggestions will
be given serious and fair consideration. I'll give you a call ASAP and
provide more details when we have them.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or
concerns at 202.566.3100. _______________________________
