Subject: Senate is scheduled to vote on HB 1227 Thursday

Wednesday (today) is our last chance to protect our votes.  HB 1227 will be voted on by the entire Colorado Senate.

If HB 1227 passes, Colorado voters will not be permitted to verify that their vote is recorded correctly, and candidates and the public won’t be able to verify that the votes were kept secure and counted correctly.

It’s that simple.

If you believe that the people who vote should decide election outcomes, please contact Colorado Senators today.  Otherwise, the people who count the votes will decide election outcomes.

You can find contact information at http://www.leg.state.co.us/Clics2004a/csl.nsf/directory?openframeset

Please email, call, fax, or visit as many Senators as you can and ask them to vote “NO on HB 1227.”
