To the contrary, my friend.

I was a poll watcher in Arapahoe's recent recall election and have written
much about the problems that I discovered.  We do not have democratic (small
"d") representation in Boulder County.

To my way of thinking, conducting a "monkey-wrench" campaign would cast
negative public opinion on all of us who are trying first and last to
achieve trustworthy elections.  I hope others will not succumb to this
tactic.  

Demanding a "paper ballot backup" in every precinct that uses DRE voting
machines, and demanding that voters be given the choice to vote on a DRE or
on a paper ballot is a reasonable goal that can gain public support.  (Why
won't they let us verify our votes?)

Couple this with a poll watching effort to detect, report, and publicize
fraud, error and incompetence will bring positive public support.

Al,

Whoa, I finally think that I understand where our dissconnect is. You
probably live in a county where there is established Democratic
representation, and you wouldn't want to mess that up. The thing is, I live
in Arapahoe County and I don't have that luxury.
