Keep it if you can



In the waning few days of a critical Congress (brought to us by the highest corporate bidders), both HAVA reform versions are on the auction block, contenders for the final messy filling of the sausage. Will the smelly result include the vital promise of a verifiable, recountable PAPER ballot OF RECORD, which has so painfully made its way into committee consideration? Will enough of the small minority of concerned citizens of a consumption-mad country be aware as one more Ben-Franklin choice presents itself to try to keep the Republic? Stay tuned.
