Anyone have any information or other type of help for the safety workers group? ----- Original Message ----- From: jktreanorbrown@xxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 08, 2004 5:45 AM To: Longmontcitizens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [LongmontCitizens] [Fwd: Calls To Boulder County Clerk! Election Fraud???] Received this this morning. I am assuming she is related to the police group in some way. I would certainly urge our members to contact the clerk's office in Boulder about this - also letters to the T-C and Camera. Karen

I was told you are supporters of Longmont Question 2A's election. Something really looks bad here. Join me in calling the Boulder Clerk's office about the following. A recount is in order!!!
Francine Masters
The mayor possibly violates state election law by using public resources to campaign against 2A. City Council passes a resolution urging all citizens to vote no on 2A. City Manager and City Attorney join in. City Attorney rejects complaint by police & fire unions about Mayors violation (Conflict of interest)
Some police officers form a group, give it an official name, take out ads and receive donations, but fail to register as required by law. The city attorney and clerk look the other way. (Conflict of interest)
Internal City Regulations being violated by those same police officers in their election involvement and the city attorney looks the other way. (Conflict of interest)
Certain influential people well connected politically, some of whom have been entrenched in county and city politics for years, they form a committee to get 2A defeated. They let it be known they would go to any extreme to defeat this proposal.
Daily Times Call poll shows 2A ahead 77% to 23%. Most people in the know, up to and including Election Day, predicting a large victory for 2A.
The first ballots counted were absentee ballots and they reflect almost the identical percentages of yes and no as at the end of the election. The percentages move less than .7 percent throughout the entire election. That goes against all reality. Reality shows in any election no two precincts vote exactly alike. Some may be similar but others will come in heavy one way or another and the percentages will swing as the votes are reported (54 precincts and 35,000 votes.) This did not happen with 2A.
For the first part of the ballot count a larger number of votes on 2A reported than those reported for the City.
Improper ballots cast with voters outside the city being allowed to on 2a. While inside the city an unknown number of voters do not have it on their ballot and were denied their vote. Election officials ignoring complaints of this during the vote.
The County’s opti-scanners rejecting up to 80% of the ballots and they have to be counted by hand. The Longmont City Clerk and members of her staff then counted those ballots with no one from the 2A side present. (Conflict of interest) The City Clerk works for the City Manager and City Council who have urged voters to vote no on 2A.
County Clerk’s office not returning calls to Police & Fire representatives who are trying to get information and expressing concerns. One call finally returned and they are told to contact the Longmont City Clerk’s office since she was in charge of the Longmont count.
2A goes down to defeat 45% in favor to 55% against. This was against all pre-election predictions!!!
