More Sell-out: Bill Prohibits Municipal Networks

PS - While we've been busy fighting the elections issue, another large  
corporation has been quietly passing a bill to prohibit municipal  
networks.

I offer this here because, a) many of us care about other "hi-tech"  
issues, and b) this privatization is conceptually similar to what's  
happening to our elections. Will they try to prohibit communities from  
using anything other than a corporate elections machine? Are there any  
special laws or regulations passed that relate to the private voting  
machines we have in Boulder County? (hint: the answer is yes)

More thanks to our "Democratic" majority in the Colorado Legislature  
for selling us out on this bill, too!
