Automark certified

I'm just now reading a long email from Chuck Corry in which he claims that
the ES&S AutoMark system for paper ballots has now been federally certified.

Isn't this the ballot marking device that Al suggested in 03?

Since our clerk has insisted that voters use ballpoint pens, while Hart
repeatedly said magic markers were fine; and she blew off the $60K for voter
education, because she didn't think that voters needed any information or
training - why not provide voters with a ballot marker that makes voting
easier and faster for voters?

My guess is that Linda Salas is going to buy DREs. One for every precinct,
or a pile of them for vote centers.
If the Automark has truly been certified for elections use and therefore
HAVA compliant, then the only thing that keeps Linda from buying the
Automark is her own misinformation and mismanagement. Something that she
excels in.
