News: Kerry now believes election stolen
Today on Democracynow on KGNU, Mark Crispin Miller, author of "Fooled
Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election and Why They'll Steal
the Next One Too (Unless We Stop Them)" said that he recently talked
with John Kerry, who said he now believes the 2000 election was
stolen.
Mark Hertsgaard wrote a "devil's advocate" review of the book in
Mother Jones Magazine:
http://www.motherjones.com/arts/books/2005/11/recounting_ohio.html
Hertsgaard was quite surprised about the news about Kerry, and hopes
Kerry will publish his new beliefs in an op-ed column. Miller says he
hopes John Conyers will reconvene his committee and use subpoena power
to compell testimony from those under suspicion, especially from
Triad, supplier of voting machines in Ohio.
Amy Goodman, host of Democracynow, specifically asked for email
(mail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) on how people feel about this issue. (The
audio and transcript of the show will be at http://democracynow.org
sometime this afternoon, around 1 our time if memory serves.)
I wrote to urge her to continue coverage of this; you may want to join
me.
