Daily Camera Dead
Boulder Activists,
I've been looking at the DC since we all started writing letters and I fail
to see where they've printed anything from concerned citizens about
elections. Vanessa Miller wrote a story about the latest debacle that seemed
ill-informed and supportive of the clerk's staff because the detractors
appeared to be from the black helicopter squadron.
I noted that last week there was a letter remarking on how Clay Evans was no
longer writing for the Camera. That might explain why my pleas to Clay for
an editorial on the failures of DRE have gone unanswered. Apparently Clay no
longer works for the Camera, or perhaps following the Peter Principle, he's
been kicked upstairs. Doubt that, since he would have responded to emails.
Clay is the one person at the Camera who has always been responsive to our
concerns.
It is interesting that now that both the Camera and the Colorado Daily are
owned by EW Scripps that only the Daily continues to report the news of
Boulder.
Please don't waste too much time trying to get the Daily Camera to involve
itself in our community. It hasn't cared in a long time. Even Sue Deans, its
editor-in-chief says that she cannot control what her owners want her to
publish. The Camera makes Boulder out to be heaven and a tourist attraction.
Soon to be ruled by the neo-cons that run the Camera from the east coast.
The same folks that pre-program the DRE for supreme authority.
