Don't know if this news story is reaching the masses outside of FL, but Katherine Harris has pledged to use $10M of her own money to campaign for being a senator from FL to the US Senate.

She's up to her eyeballs in one of the most prominent campaign finance scandals in US history. She received $50K in contibutions from one person and says she didn't know it was illegal to do that. Huh?

She was once the elections clerk in Manatee County (Sarasota) and claims ignorance?

Her campaign manager quit on Friday, followed by three other prominent Republicans. It is pretty likely that criminal charges will be brought against her, but not while she's still in congress.

Whatever the case, we can probably bid her an adios for good. Unless GWB pardons her and makes her into a judge.
