Boulder County election officials said Friday that voters have been
receiving automated calls that pass along inaccurate information
about Tuesday's election.
Josh Liss, the county's elections coordinator, said his office has
received reports that one call tells voters the county hasn't
received their absentee ballot. Another call says the cost of postage
for ballots is 89 cents, when the correct figure is 63 cents.
"They're definitely not from us," Liss said. "The last thing we want
is people not casting their ballot or thinking their ballot was not
counted."
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Voters who already have absentee ballots can drop them off during
those hours or from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the following
locations: 1750 33rd St. in Boulder; 529 Coffman St. in Longmont; and
722 Main St. in Louisville.
All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Tuesday to be counted.
