Gideon Repost, "Keep proving I have been correct"

Stupid quote from Clive Thompson       from January 5, 2008 3:04:48 PM CST

In an otherwise pretty good article by Clive Thompson I cringe when I see adolescent writing like the following already oft-quoted sentence:
"The earliest critiques of digital voting booths came from the fringe --- disgruntled citizens and scared-senseless computer geeks --- but the fears have now risen to the highest levels of government."

Those of you who get "Daily Voting News" know that I didn't mind the quote. In fact, I am proud to be a "disgruntled citizen" or "scared-senseless computer geek" or, as one vendor representative called us, "anarchist". As long as I (we) all know that every day we are being proven to be correct in what we were saying a few years ago. The voting systems are insecure; they are inaccurate; they aren't accessible. Call me what you want but keep proving I have been correct and the vendors and their supporters have been wrong.

But that's just the opinion of one proud "anarchist" "scared-senseless disgruntled citizen"
