In the 2011 legislative session, the General Assembly mandated that the Secretary of the State study and report on the topic of online voting systems. Online voting is one of the most controversial topic facing election officials today. To some it makes our democracy vulnerable to corruption, fraud and error. To others it adds a much needed convenience to military voters stationed overseas. Join Secretary of the State Denise Merrill as she welcomes a panel of nationally known experts to discuss and debate this very contentious topic.
