Microsoft has a long history of scary reports about dangerous defects
in competitors products. The practice of this marketing technique is,
perhaps, Microsoft's most clever 'innovation'. I've heard the
technique called FUD, as in Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. To me, it is a
strange coincidence that this 'problem' was 'discovered' just as
Microsoft was announcing its intention of entering the smart-phone
