Meeting Locations (was Re: Your Election Reform Meetup is cancelled)
Bob-
We've also scheduled our meeting for next Wednesday (11/12) ostensibly so that it would dovetail with a Boulder election reform Meetup had it happened. We're meeting on the CU Boulder campus this time, the details are on the website and in a previous e-mail to the list.
We certainly don't mean to compete with your attendance, but this is such an important issue that I think there should be plenty of people in both Denver and Boulder (and wishfully thinking, every other county in the nation!) who are concerned enough to get active, especially once they realize how far along this situation is already.
I'm very concerned about this issue locally, regionally/statewide, and nationally, but I want to focus what little time I have to give this issue in Boulder County where I've lived for the last 15+ years, so I'm not personally really up for a regular middle-ground meeting, although I would be glad to come down to Denver at some point to make a presentation about what we've been up to here. I believe we have some folks who've attended our two meetings from the "L" towns (Louisville, Lafayette), and they may prefer a meeting in Broomfield.
I think once we start getting more press attention around this issue, we'll have no trouble filling meetings in Denver, Boulder, Broomfield and elsewhere.

I had this happen to me last month in Denver which is why I've been promoting the heck out of it to my e-mail lists and asking folks in Boulder to try to support the Denver group this month, so it will happen. I just got notification from meet-up that the Denver one is approved, so I'm inviting all readers on this list to please visit with us at 1225 17th Street in downtown Denver on Wed., Nov. 12th (Diedrich's Coffee).
I would like to propose that we pick a location for subsequent meet-ups on this topic somewhere between Denver and Boulder, say Westminster or Superior or Broomfield, so we can grow both groups and find strength in numbers. What do people think of this?
If you wish to chat with me about ideas for the agenda for this first meet-up in Denver, I'm open to suggestions. My e-mail isand my phone is 303-460-1825
Thanks!
Bob
