Joe,
Sorry I did not respond until now. I was at the NIST conference and did
not get this email until now.
I can not speak officially on this subject without consent from our CEO,
Dr. Chung. He was out of the country this week on business.
I can say that at the very least we have always had the stand that our
code is open to review. It always gets tricky saying open to everyone
since that would make the other vendors come out and try to snow
non-technical people with a negative review. At the least we would
allow inspection of the module that shows the link between the printing
of the paper and the presentation of the vote to the voter on the touch
screen to show that everything is above board.
I will send this request to Kevin but do not expect anything until early
next week.
Thanks,
James Minadeo - Avante

James-
Will you please provide us as soon as possible, hopefully before
tomorrow morning's meeting here in Boulder County, an official
statement clearly indicating Avante's willingness (and/or the extent of
Avante's willingness) to disclose it's system(s) to citizen review?
Thanks!
