RE: overview of proposed hart intercivic ballot now system (draft)

Hi Kell,

I just said this in an off-line messages to Scott and Neal:

I might suggest that CVV ask the commissioners to empanel yet another committee made up of techno-geeks that can understand electronic election systems and that group should advise the commissioners and the clerk on what reality looks like.

The last committee was rather clueless. I don't think that was done by design, it was simply the blind leading the blind. Or let me clarify even further. Our committee wasn’t looking into tech stuff, we were looking into ADA stuff. So techie ability really didn’t apply.

We should do this at the open hearing so that all know that it has been done, not in some private meeting so that it can be easily forgotten.

Paul has a good point: showing problems is only half the game.  The other half is showing a good alternative.

I wonder, Paul, et.al., if we couldn't "partner" better w/ Elections, give them better proposals and info sooner.  There is some really good thought and technical expertise locally available on this.
