Keller Resolution SJR04-010 passed senate UNANIMOUSLY

According to Moe herself a few minutes ago,
Senate Joint Resolution 04-010 "Concerning Paperless Voting Systems"
Passed the senate UNANIMOUSLY!

This followed a single amendment negotiated with HAVA director Drew Durham,
which added three "whereas's" that put the Secretary of State's office on
our side:

Whereas the Secretary of State's office does not oppose voter
verifiable paper ballots
Whereas the Secretary of State's office opposes the use of untested
and uncertified equipment in conduct of elections
Whereas the Secretary of State's office supports backup systems for
paper verifiable recounts

(these wordings according to handwritten fax from Moe).

On to the house, to be carried by cosponsor Cheri Jahn.

Gentlemen, start your telephones!
