The Libertarian Party is leading the way
to trustworthy elections! Their 2004 platform says, “To avoid fraud and manipulation, electronic
voting systems must use a voter verified paper ballot as the ballot of count,
recount, audit and record.” Clean and simple, Libertarians are demanding
a true paper ballot – not a practically useless “paper receipt”. We need the other national political parties

powerful single sentence to the Elections Laws section of the Platform. To avoid fraud and
manipulation, electronic voting systems must use a voter verified paper ballot
as the ballot of count, recount, audit and record. Now, we just need all state Libertarians to
add this to their platforms, and of course, the other political parties should
add this as well. We have come a long way since June, 2000
when we first were horrified over the loss of our votes. Susan Marie The right to have our vote counted is

with which the ballots can be manipulated is greater than the ease with which
