Confounding the issues

So often these articles confound and convolute. It's hard to sift out the
good information. The AccuPoll article covers very little on the topic of
what this DRE does, and then jumps into something rather unrelated about
ES&S; lawsuits; history and things that most people paying any attention to
this issue are already aware of.

Almost every article I've read is sensationalistic and confusing. Covering
more stories of hazards and less of real news on improvements or possible
remedies. It is maddening.

The article on the Chaum and crypto is good and doesn't delve into the
morass of the past too deeply. Better reporting.

It is hard to find good reporting and articles that don't show up as boring
diatribes. Next month I am giving a presentations in Jeffco and Denver to
explain some of the options to paperless DREs. All of the people that I will
be talking to are already aware of the problems that paperless DREs cause.
It is hard to find reading materials to show options to 'fix' the problem
without getting sucked into more and more of the history that opponents of
paperless systems already know.
