RE: what law?



I don't know about laws, but I am amazed that you don't, or haven't
posted precinct totals outside the polls on election night.  What
better way is there to assure that vote totals match between what the
polls counted and what the election office reports?

The Larimer County Election Judge's manual spells out the procedure
in the AccuVote Judge's section under "Closing the AccuVote"
".....Post it [theFinal Results tape] at the Vote Center so it is
visible to the public."  This is done _before_ the AccuVote is
connected to the phone lines and the results are modemed to the
election office.

I've seen the tapes posted outside the polls in Fort Collins since
1996 at least.

Do you have a Boulder election judge's manual?  Does it say nothing
about this??
