Subject: Boulder website indicates that precinct ballots counted.

The Boulder County website indicates that they counting of precinct ballots is complete.

Now they begin processing duplicated ballots and about 2,500 provisional ballots.

See the website at http://www.co.boulder.co.us/clerk/elect/2004%20General/Frame.htm

Early ballots and almost all absentee ballots were processed before precinct ballots were prepared for counting.

Reports indicate that a major cause of the delay in posting election results was the printing of the precinct ballots and the fact that

nobody verified that the ballots were correctly printed.

Again, this is a sign of bureaucratic/corporate incompetence, certainly not a reason to blame CVV.

The new equipment could not read the precinct ballots, so most votes cast in precincts had to be re-marked by election workers.
There is no way to determine if the votes were correctly marked.

Once the votes are counted,

the Canvass Board will attempt to verify that all eligible ballots were counted, and that all votes were accurately counted.

Good luck Al - hope she doesn't try to get you arrested again.
