Re: Hand count or open source

I support computer counts backed up by statistical sampling and full hand counts if necessary, which is to say that I think we need to make our first goal to change the Colorado law that stands in the way of such a rational, modern approach.

So after that rather bizarre digression, can we come back to this?

I think we only had four people say yes to hand counts. I guess everyone else is more interested in fast and secret than accurate.

If we did agree that accurate was more important. I think that we might want to present a hand counting methodology to the commissioners and clerk that was actually workable, rather than gestalt tallies.

Is there anyone here that cares about that? About accurate elections? Or shall we turn this discussion group into something else?

My guess is that this was a vote by Kell for handcounting. Or is it arguementative?

I personally cannot support a computer tally at this point in time. But I was just asking if list members supported hand counts or computer counts. It was a simple question.
