Joe (et al),

I respectfully disagree with you. Linda has been quite outspoken in this
matter and has taken complete responsibility for whatever failures may have
occurred. She has done this publicly and privately.
There is no evidence that Linda is trying to skirt any issues or use her
authority to squelch any information.

Linda at present is the best person to help discover what went screwy and
her past experience as a clerk will help committee members and all citizens
in figuring out how best to address this issues within the law.

I ran for Clerk in 02, and if Linda were to be recalled I would likely run
for that position again. Be clear: I didn't run against Linda before, and I
would not be running against her if she were to be recalled. What I would be
doing is running for clerk, not against the existing clerk.

In my opinion, what you are doing here Joe is a negative slam. I believe
that the work of CVV should be positive and towards coalition building. Work
with those that we elected to produce a positive result.

A recall election will be costly and unnecessary. Linda Salas' term will end
in 06. That is when you can find someone to support to replace Linda.
Not only do I support Linda Salas, but also what you are about to attempt is
fiscally irresponsible.
The ballot box is an excellent place to voice your concerns. Your impatience
in the timing of a recall will be costly to all taxpayers.
