Tues 12/21 City Council Public Hearing on March Election
Greetings!
In case folks aren't already aware, there is a "Public Hearing" item on
the Boulder City Council agenda (for the meeting this Tuesday, December
21st, 2004 at 6pm) regarding the March 2005 election. I don't know if
you will need to sign up ahead of time to participate, but it's
probably a good idea to get there early just in case if you wish to
speak or present anything. I intend to show the Swiss ballot samples
and try to explain why I think hand counting is the right thing to do
here and now, in three minutes or less!

See item "6B" on the agenda, available as a PDF:

City Clerk Alisa Lewis put together a comprehensive look at the
situation in the 21 page package, including info about her work and the
decision-making behind her recommendation to do a mail ballot election
in March 2005.
I hope to see some of you on Tuesday night, and hopefully they'll catch
the colorful ballot slips on the Channel 8 webcast:

See you there! Thanks for everyone's efforts. Happy holidays!
Joe
