VotePAD approved in WI, confirmed with DoJ




The "Voting on Paper Assitive Device" is another paper-based (and non- computerized) method of providing equal access to the ballot to disabled voters.

The Department of Justice was called in to approve or reject the device, as well, and it passed:

Now there are two federally certified devices that have also been certified in other states available to choose from to provide HAVA compliant disability voting. I wonder what the Colorado Secretary of State's office (and Boulder's soon to be former County Clerk) are trying to cover up by claiming that such devices won't meet HAVA guidelines? Hopefully the answer is just "ignorance"...
