M$ couldn't handle a whole day in Y2K, much less a reliable time stamp.

Maybe it's the incompetent software people that are the ones that take the bribes from the Politico-Hacks.
Unlike the software whistleblower in Florida before the 2004 election who refused to fix the machines and got fired.
The Hack that tried to bribe him got elected to Congress anyway - Abramoff needed such ilk to bribe in turn.
