Hi All,
For those of you interested in going to the House Committee on State, Veteran and Military Affairs, to show interest or testify on SB062 (on emailing overseas military ballots), the staffer for the committee says the chair will be moving SB062 to the front of the list of bills to be taken up tomorrow at 1:30. Thus it will be voted on tomorrow. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Room 0107 at the State Capitol. I hope people will attend, to show that interest is high in secure elections for our overseas military.
In case anyone has not followed the issue, it is not possible to make today's personal computers secure for voting. This situation will not change in the foreseeable future. Thus we are doing our overseas military no favor to allow them to return absentee ballots by email, as they will be putting their votes at risk. We want SB062 to be voted down.
