Yes, it did cross my mind that this had an element of crassness to it. Guess I should have thought a little harder about sending it. It is even more unfortunate because the disabled have been used badly by those wishing to inflict these DREs on us--- by selling them as this great new breakthrough for the disabled when they don't even allow the blind to verify their vote, propagandizing that "independence" obviates vote security. (And the sighted among us have had the wool pulled over our eyes.)

While I understand the implication of the cartoon (and not to seem to *itchy about it as I love a good joke too) - I would caution us all to remember the disabled community is one of the fastest growing demographic groups in the world and it has a diminishing flavor that might not been seen as humorous.
Having citizens who live with disabilities watch the polls shouldn't be seen as a joke it actually makes alot of sense. Public policies generally negatively affect the most vulnerable first hence they have the most stake - we SHOULD have them watch elections for us.
Caption says "Busy days for Paralympics athletes", blind guy says "Yes, my agenda for the next few months is really beginning to fill up". "After this, I'll be an observer at the Florida elections."
