RE: poll worker training tomorrow (Saturday)

Joel,

In addition to the one party watcher, there may be a poll watcher for each
candidate and issue committee. This is vital when watching for quality,
since you need to be in several places at the same time for mail ballot
processing, ballot qualification, and vote interpretation and counting.

1-7-106. Watchers at general and congressional vacancy elections.

Each participating political party or issue committee whose candidate or
issue is on the ballot, and each unaffiliated and write-in candidate whose
name is on the ballot for a general or congressional vacancy election, shall
be entitled to have no more than one watcher at any one time in each
precinct polling place in the county and at each place where votes are
counted in accordance with this article.

Hi All,
Mary--Jeffco is like Boulder, poll watchers get manes from individual sign
in sheets (not poll book carbons as previously).

Ivan- Only one party poll watcher can be officially inside at a time, but
several people can be certified as poll watchers at a single precinct and
trade places. (must be sworn in by judges). We have Repub poll watchers in
Jeffco.
