Dear Friends of Election Integrity, Please listen to this radio program if possible. It's tonight at 5:30. -------- Original Message --------
Friends, Robert
McGuire, attorney for Citizen Center, and I will be
interviewed by Ken Clark host of a political radio show on
http://www.560thesource.com/
on the subject of
traceable
ballots in Colorado. (560AM in Boulder) Ken
hosts a conservatively oriented show, but this concern cuts
across all party and political lines. In fact, I expect Ken
to begin asking questions on why it is that conservative
politicians (Secretary Gessler, Jefferson County
Commissioners, Mesa Commissioners, Chaffee County
Commissioners, and Larimer County officials are spending
great amounts of public resources to oppose their own
voters’ constitutional rights to an absolutely secret
ballot.) We
will explain how voters’ ballots are traceable in most
counties in Colorado, and what
Citizen Center
is doing about it. We will discuss why we filed a
lawsuit
against Secretary Gessler and six clerks, in expectation
of protecting voters from this violation of their rights
during the 2012 elections. Please
send this notice along to friends and media contacts who want
to know more about this 19th Century issue which
has resurfaced to be solved
again in 2012! (Colorado solved this in
1892 with statutes, and in 1946 with a constitutional
amendment guaranteeing our rights to untraceable ballots. But
our election officials don’t believe that these prohibitions
on knowing other’s votes apply to officials, their staff and
thousands of election judges. This time the courts will have
to vindicate our rights.)
Thank
you for your interest in this timely an alarming topic. Thanks
to Al Kolwicz, one of the co-founders of Citizen Center, for
bringing this to Ken Clark’s attention.
