Welcome to the new Mailing List for Coloradoans for Voting
Integrity, a non-partisan group formed at last month's
Denver meet-up on Election Reform. Since last month a LOT
has happened! We have:
- formed a group and named it "Coloradoans for Voting
Integrity" with the motto, "Your Vote Counts!"
- obtained sponsorship from group members to launch a
website
- obtained the use of office space and a phone line in order
to conduct our affairs
- developed written materials describing our group and
inviting others to join us
- made an appearance on Denver Cable TV about the issues of
electronic voting machines and received mention on the air
at KNRC radio
- held our second meeting with many newcomers in attendance
(notes from the meeting will be sent out to the list)
We are excited and somewhat overwhelmed at the outpouring of
interest in this topic and at the speed with which concerned
citizens and election officials are mobilizing to rally
around our concerns.
For a group with no hired help, no budget and no physical
presence in this debate over these issues a month ago, we've
come a long, long way!
See you on the 9th!

"Your Vote Counts!"
P.S. We will host our monthly Meetups on the 2nd Tuesday of
each month, and look for Meetup.com to begin to publicize
our meeting locations beginning in January. We will probably
relocate to the central Denver area again with our meetings.
We will be reaching out to many groups, many campaigns and
to election officials and political parties, trying to
sensitize (and educate!) all of us to the need to protect
our votes so that they count and cannot be tampered with or
changed. We appreciate any outreach you can do to bring
others with you to our meetings.
