State LP supports ...
On Tuesday evening I attended the board meeting of the Libertarian Party of
Colorado (LPCO), of which I am a member.
As I proposed at the November 20th meeting of CVV in Boulder, I obtained
state party backing for CVV and like-minded citizens groups state wide;
support for HR 2239; and authorization for a letter to Donetta Davidson
demanding that she apply for a stay of execution for HAVA in 2004.
Though I am able to speak on behalf of the Libertarian Party in Colorado, as
its legislative director, I knew that it would be more valuable to have
resolutions passed by the full state board.
These statements were created under a time crunch, and need a bit more
word-smithing before they will appear in print. The LP's Media Director,
Desiree Hickson [ladiesoflibertydiva@xxxxxxx] will be producing a series of
press releases to state wide newspapers, radio and television producers.
I just wanted to drop this note to all of you to let you know that the
Libertarian Party of Colorado is officially on-board in supporting our goals
and countering the tyranny of computerized balloting, as we now know it.
The Libertarian Party of Colorado is the first state party to take this
action.
