I have quoted Mr. Miller from the ITAA who insults voters everywhere:

"Harris Miller, who leads a new trade association for
the [DRE] industry, said that the group had no position in favor or
against
paper trails,
but dismissed the issue as a "theological debate within
the academic community."
Mr. Miller, who is also president of the
Information Technology Association of America,
called some opponents of
electronic voting "black helicopter theorists" and Luddites who "want
to go
back to the bad old days" of stuffed ballot boxes and chad wars."

To Mr. Harris Miller (and the ITAA),

Mr. Miller,
Your insults only serve to prove your illogic and lack of reason in
debate.
I am not an "academic". Graduated years ago. No advanced degree.
I am not a "theorist". I deal in facts, not conjecture.
I am not a "Luddite". I am a Rational, not an ideologue.
I am not for stuffed ballot boxes, which haven't been in
evidence for some time.
Prove that I am for stuffed boxes with facts. I dare you.
Prove your assertion that electronically scanned paper ballots lead
to stuffed ballot boxes. I dare you.
You have no proof of what I want, since you know nothing of me.
You have not even taken the time to know your opponent.
This is the first rule of warfare and of debate.

I want a verifiable vote.
I am a technology worker who has much experience with
computing machines, as are many that are speaking up.
Your lack of logic and reason prove you to be at odds with
computing. You would not last five minutes in my field.
I know the weaknesses of computing devices which you dismiss without
logic or proof.
I will not be silenced, patronized and libeled.
I will show to as many as will listen how greedy you are,
and how you pander to the fears of the uniformed without a
shred of data to back up a single claim.
Shame on you for your arrogance and false assertions, Mr. Miller.

To CVV members and others,

I urge you to investigate the ITAA trade group, and their methods.

The Information Technology Association Of America (ITAA),
and their subgroup, the Election Technology Council (ETC):

Main Page for the ETC:
http://www.itaa.org/es/gendoc.cfm?docid=312
"A national public opinion poll by the Information Technology
Association of America and Unisys in 2001 found 69% of Americans
believe that using new technologies to modernize voting systems would
produce more accurate results."
"...voters are no doubt reassured by the fact that no known case of
DRE tampering has been discovered to date. On the contrary, reports
and commentators critical of touch screen voting security must couch
their criticisms in the hypothetical rather than the actual."

ITAA Urges Resolution to Differences on Election System Reform Bills:
http://www.itaa.org/news/pr/PressRelease.cfm?ReleaseID=1031341803
"While Congress fiddles, the democratic process runs the risk of
getting burned," said ITAA President Harris N. Miller."
"We do not need a 'hanging chad redux' for the next Presidential
election."

"Hart InterCivic Chairman David E. Hart will serve as chairman of the
Council.
ETC membership is open to any company in the elections systems
marketplace."

How shameful that HART should align themselves with the greedy
Miller.
I suggest they rethink this strategy.

The ITAA rely on a gullible, rash and uninformed public to push their
wares.
They cite opinion polls and provide absolutely no proof of their
claims.
Not one link was found in my web search to support any claim made by
the ITAA or the ETC.
They push fear and loathing at the expense to democracy.

Follow the links and see if you disagree.
