Subject: League of Women Voters CHANGES POSITION

----------------- Commence Forwarded Message -----------------

Barbara Simons who is a delegate to the League of Women Voter's
Convention meeting right now in Washington DC reports that the League
delegates attending the meeting voted to change the League's position
on paperless DRE voting machines from supportive to neutral.

This is a major victory and one that will be reflected in all League
official communication between now and the general election.
Congratulations to Barbara who started this fight over a year ago.

My thanks to each of you you who assisted Barbara in this effort. I
am sure she will provide a detailed account of the road to victory.

Lillie
